The Beginning

A passion for the beautifully built

In 2010, our founder Darmendra Jain stood in his family's carpentry workshop in Jaipur and noticed something missing — the extraordinary skill of Rajasthani woodworkers had no reach beyond the local market. Furniture Indian was his answer.

We started with a single collection of solid sheesham dining tables and a promise: every piece that leaves our workshop would be built the way we'd build furniture for our own home. That promise still guides every design and every joint we make today.

100% Solid Wood

We use only premium teak, sheesham, and mango wood — no MDF, no veneers, no shortcuts. If it carries our name, it is solid wood through and through.

Natural Finishes

Every piece is finished with linseed oil, beeswax, or water-based lacquers — safe for children, kind to the environment, and beautiful on the grain.

Heritage Joinery

Our craftsmen use traditional mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints. Built to hold for generations — no screws hidden under plastic caps, no glue shortcuts.

The Workshop Begins

Rajesh Sharma opens a small carpentry unit in Jaipur's old city with four craftsmen and a single product line — solid sheesham dining tables sold at local craft fairs.

2010
2013

First Export Order

A UK-based interior design firm discovers our beds at a Delhi trade fair. Our first international order — 40 teak bed frames — ships to London. The world begins to notice.

Furniture Indian Launches Online

We launch furnitureindian.com, taking our handcrafted pieces directly to homes across India. Within six months, 500 orders arrive from 18 cities.

200 Craftsmen, One Vision

The workshop grows to employ over 200 master craftsmen. We introduce our Lifetime Repair Promise — any structural defect, fixed free, forever.
